This transformation function is used for template matching.
The first image acts as the target image, and the second image acts as the template image.

Template matching works best when:

• The image contains little noise
• The object’s appearance is known and static

However, template matching can be computationally expensive, depending on the size of the image and the template.

Parameter

• Number of Expected Matches
  An integer value that specifies the maximum number of matches to detect. The default value is 3.

Output

The output of this transformation function includes:

• An image with the detected template locations marked
• The number of matches found (if any)
