This transformation function is used to create binary images by applying thresholding, performing binary morphological operations, and extracting detected features by finding their contours.
There are four methods available to enhance an image:
- Binary Original
Applies a global threshold to the entire image.
- If down is true, pixels with values less than or equal to the specified threshold are set to 1, and all others are set to 0.
- If down is false, pixels with values greater than the threshold are set to 1, and all others are set to 0.
- Binary Filtered
Applies erosion using an 8-neighborhood structure.
A pixel retains its value only if it is connected to all of its neighboring pixels.
- Labeled Blobs
Detects connected components (blobs) in the binary image.
The blobs are labeled in the output image and also described as a set of contours.
- Contours
Extracts and returns the contours of the detected blobs.
