This transformation function is used to enhance an image.

There are four available enhancement methods:

• Global
  Computes a transformation table to equalize the image histogram.
  Histogram equalization redistributes pixel intensity values so that the histogram is spread more evenly across the full range of values.
• Local
  Performs histogram equalization on a per-pixel local region, enhancing local contrast within the image.
• Sharpen 4
  Applies a Laplacian-4–based sharpening filter to enhance edges and fine details.
• Sharpen 8
  Applies a Laplacian-8–based sharpening filter to further enhance edges, using a stronger neighborhood response.
