This transformation function is used to calculate the area of a geometry.

The unit of area is determined by the parameter passed to the Area function and can be one of the following:

• UNITS (unit coordinates, default)
• METER_SQUARE (m²)
• KILOMETER_SQUARE (km²)
• MILE_SQUARE (mi²)
• HECTARE (ha)
• ACRE

If no unit is specified, the area is returned in UNITS (unit coordinates).
