Number of input field	:	One
Number of output field	:	One or more

This transformation function is used to extract parts of text based on fixed-length substrings.

The parameter string is defined in the following format :
[start₁ - length₁],[start₂ - length₂],...[start_n - length_n]

Where:

• start
  The starting index of the substring.
• length
  The number of characters to extract. If omitted, the substring is extracted from the start index to the end of the text.
