ShpFeatureInputFormat is used to extract data from a feature shapefile.
A feature shapefile contains geographic features—points, lines, or polygons—along with descriptive attribute data. A shapefile is not a single file but a collection of related files, including:
- .shp — geometry data
- .dbf — attribute table
- .shx — index file
- .prj — projection information (optional)
Output Format
Each extracted record is produced in the following format:
geometry|attribute-1|attribute-2|...|attribute-n
Where:
- geometry
Text representation of the geometry in WKT (Well-Known Text) format
- attribute-1 . . . attribute-n
Values of the corresponding attributes from the shapefile’s attribute table
Configuration
- solusi247.spatial.headerIncluded
Indicates whether attribute names are included in the output.
- Possible values: true, false
- Default value: false
- When enabled, the attribute names are included as a header row in the output.
Behavior
- Reads geometric features from shapefiles
- Converts geometry data into WKT format
- Extracts all associated attribute values
- Optionally includes attribute names as a header
Typical Use Cases
- Ingesting GIS shapefile data into data pipelines
- Processing spatial features for analytics or visualization
- Converting shapefile geometry and attributes into text-based formats for downstream processing
