MQTT Sink

MQTT Sink () is used to send or write data into an MQTT queue . MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) is a lightweight, publish-subscribe communication protocol frequently used in the Internet of Things (IoT), sensor networks, and real-time monitoring systems .

In the HGrid247 data pipeline architecture , MQTT Sink functions as an output that sends processed data to the MQTT broker , so that the data can be consumed by other devices such as sensors, IoT applications, or monitoring systems .

Parameters of MQTT Sink

  1. URL
    Alamat URL broker MQTT
This parameter specifies the address of the MQTT broker that will receive the data.
    Example:
        URL : tcp://192.168.1.10:1883

    or
        URL : mqtt://broker.hivemq.com:1883

    Explanation:
    • tcp:// → communication protocol
    • 192.168.1.10 → MQTT server address
    • 1883 → port MQTT default
  2. User Name
    Username akun MQTT
This parameter specifies the username of the MQTT account used for authentication.
  3. Password
    MQTT account password
This parameter specifies the MQTT account password .
  4. Topic
MQTT topic where data will be published
This parameter specifies the MQTT topic to which the data will be published .
In MQTT, topics are used to group messages so that subscribers can receive specific messages.
    Example:
        Topic : sensor/temperature

    or
        Topic : smartcity/traffic/data

Subscribers who subscribe to the topic will receive data sent by the MQTT Sink .
